But the reports have turned out to be false. An insider has confirmed the news, saying that there is no update related to the CBFC screening since the movie is stuck due to the China connection, and the makers are doing their best to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
The source said that the makers are already in touch with the government officials, and once the problem is resolved, the movie will be passed by the CBFC and it will reach the theatres. The source said that it may take a few days, weeks, or more than that.
Trade experts reacted by saying that while the best part for now is that only the CBFC stage is left, Maatrubhumi cannot be expected to be released this year since all the big projects have already locked their dates.
