Rohit Shetty’s Diwali release has already made 200 crore and received mixed responses from the fans. But many are not happy because he did not show any DeepVeer moments.
The film has a power packed cast of Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The presence of the blockbuster couple DeepVeer could have been utilised to make an impactful or lighthearted moment in the film but the director chose against it.

Fans have been wondering what could be the reason behind this. Did Deepika and Ranveer not want to share the screen?
Rohit Shetty put an end to all the speculations by clarifying that his film follows the Ramayana theme. Ranveer’s character is inspired by Hanuman and it wouldn’t be very respectful to portray him in a romantic and flirtatious light with Deepika.

He emphasised that he did not want to hurt anyone’s sentiment. While Rohit Shetty’s mindfulness is appreciated many trolls question that he could make Ranveer do such cringe dialogues then what was the harm in uniting him with Deepika on screen.
Nonetheless, the film has won hearts and Ranveer’s role was liked by the fans. Maybe in the future the cop universe will show the power couple together.
