This comes as another big surprise as Censor Board let the steamy and kissing scenes of ‘Oka Jaanu (remake of ‘Ok Bangaram’) go uncut and certify the film with U/A. This surely is the second film which was lucky enough to pass through the Censor Board with minimal cuts.

The cuts suggested by the CBFC were only four and they were only verbal cuts. If you had watched the original and also the trailers of the Hindi remake ‘Ok Jaanu’, you know that there are a lot of steamy scenes and kissing between the lead pair.
Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor reprised the roles originally essayed by Nitya Menen and Dulquer Salman in ‘Ok Bangaram’ (Ok Kanamani) directed by Mani Ratnam. The Hindi version is directed by Shaad Ali, while Mani Ratnam is one of the producers besides Karan Johar.
