It seems like the producers of Bollywood are falling short of unique ideas. This is a reason that they have now opted to produce sequels to popular films that slowly became cult classics.
While a few sequels are already confirmed, others are being considered or in the planning stages. The first on the list is undoubtedly Pathaan 2, the next chapter in YRF Spy Universe, which will arrive after War 2.

With Salman Khan playing the lead role again, Sajid Nadiadwala will soon return to direction with Kick 2. Aamir Khan is reportedly planning a follow-up to Ghajini.
On the other hand, a few more franchises are bringing their respective fourth installments, which start with Baaghi 4.

Then there is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 and Dhoom 4. The latter is expected to feature Ranbir Kapoor.
In the long list of sequels, Ajay Devgn has multiple projects, with two of them arriving next year, with the first being De De Pyaar De 2. Then there is Raid 2, which has finalized its date of arrival.

Furthermore, Ajay will even appear in the upcoming installments of Shaitaan, Son of Sardaar, and Drishyam.
Akshay Kumar, who is going through a tough time in terms of his solo projects, has also been cast in a few sequels.
He has Housefull 5 in the upcoming lineup followed by Jolly LLB 3, Bhagam Bhag 2, and Welcome to the Jungle.
Varun Dhawan has been finalized to play one of the leads in Border 2. He will also be a part of No Entry 2.
The list goes on as some projects are yet to be announced officially or are being considered to be made sometime in the future. Discussions are currently in progress for Cocktail 2 with Shahid Kapoor.
Then the third parts of Dream Girl and Bhoothnath might arrive in the next few years. Don 3, although postponed, is expected to be released soon on the big screen.
