However, industry sources have now clarified that these claims are false. Govinda will not be part of The Battle of Galwan. Instead, reports suggest that the mysterious project Salman hinted at is the sequel to their 2007 hit Partner.
Released in the late 2000s, Partner, starring Salman Khan, Govinda, Katrina Kaif, and Lara Dutta, was a massive success both critically and commercially. The comedy film was even credited with reviving Salman’s career during a difficult phase.
A Partner 2 sequel would be both nostalgic and timely, given that both Govinda and Salman are currently navigating a relatively quiet phase in their careers.
Govinda’s last blockbuster, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, released in 1999, while Salman’s last major hit, Tiger Zinda Hai, came out in 2017.
