When Salman Khan’s film Sikandar released, fans were left disappointed. The efforts appeared half-hearted, the writing weak, and the visuals unimpressive. Many wondered why director AR Murugadoss “did Salman so dirty.”
In a recent interview, AR Murugadoss revealed the challenges of working with the superstar. He said Salman Khan’s working style was unusual and difficult for the team to adjust to.
According to the director, Salman often arrived on set only around 8 in the evening. The crew, used to starting work early, found it tough to adapt. This irregular timing disrupted the schedule.
Murugadoss recalled how it even affected child actors. Scenes meant to show school-going kids had to be filmed at 2 AM. By then, the children were exhausted, often falling asleep between shots.
The revelation quickly went viral and divided opinion. Some argued that a strong director should have handled the situation better. Others blamed Salman Khan, accusing him of being inconsiderate toward co-stars, especially children.
Critics also pointed out that Salman appeared disinterested and seemed to prioritise convenience over performance. Many felt that these factors played a big role in Sikandar failing to impress.
With Salman’s next project, Apoorva Lakhia’s Battle of Galwan, now in progress, fans are sceptical. They are questioning whether he will continue in the same way or finally deliver something impactful.
