His comments have gone viral and the internet is divided. Paresh Rawal said during the shoot at Mumbai’s fish market, he suffered a serious knee injury and was admitted to Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital.

He thought his career was over but Veeru Devgan, legendary action director and father of actor Ajay Devgn, visited him with an unusual suggestion — to drink the first urine of the day to speed up healing.

Rawal was also told to stay away from alcohol, red meat and smoking during the recovery period.

Rawal said he followed the process fully.
“If I have to drink it, I will sip it properly like beer,” he told Lallantop, adding he wasn’t going to cut corners.

For 15 days he did this without telling even his family members, thinking it was essential for real recovery.

After 15 days an X-ray revealed surprising results. Doctors saw early signs of “cementing” in the injured area — something they hadn’t seen so soon.

Originally told he would take 2-2.5 months to recover, Rawal was discharged in just 1.5 months.

He called it “magical”. The actor’s revelation has gone viral and people are shocked, amused and critical.

Many fans connected his comments to his iconic character Baburao Ganpatrao Apte and shared memes with lines like “Urine nahi hai re baba, davai hai”.

Others are concerned about promoting unscientific methods in public domain. Paresh Rawal’s experience highlights alternative healing practices that are still debated.

While mainstream medicine may question the efficacy of methods like Shivambu therapy, Rawal’s personal experience suggests traditional remedies still hold strong, especially among those willing to try unconventional ways to recover.
