A new rumor is making rounds of the internet, claiming that Shah Rukh Khan and director Shoojit Sircar are teaming up for a new project. The news started going viral after the superstar was spotted at the Bandra-based Mehboob Studios.
The report was revealed to be true, but it has a slight twist, which stated that SRK and Shoojit are not collaborating for a film and it is instead an advertisement for a cookie brand.

The commercial is being helmed by Shoojit and filming is already complete. An insider stated that SRK’s look while appearing at the Mehboob Studios led to the confusion, adding that the new commercial will have a different kind of appeal and that the duo worked without compromising on anything.
The shooting began in February 28 and it is expected to air in two weeks. Notably, Shoojit and SRK have been close to each other for a long time since their early years in Delhi.

While many people would be disappointed with the fact that SRK did not sign a new film with Shoojit, it was the right choice for the former to opt for an ad instead of a big project.
Shoojit used to be an underrated director in the past. However, his films do not have an audience anymore, specifically among those who visit theatres. His films might receive a positive response on OTT, but SRK is not in a position to do any kind of projects on OTT.

Shoojit can still decide to produce a film of SRK if he wants to. But he should stay away from directing SRK in a film if he is not willing to destroy his or SRK’s career in any manner.
