After delivering one of Bollywood’s biggest hits with the Stree franchise, Shraddha Kapoor is teaming up with Maddock Films once again. The shoot for their new project has already begun, and the team expects to wrap up on schedule.
The film is directed by Laxman Utekar, known for Chhaava and Luka Chuppi. Titled Eetha, it’s a biopic based on Vithabai, the Marathi legend of the Tamasha art form.
Eetha aims to showcase Maharashtra’s vibrant folk culture. Shraddha, who proudly connects with her Marathi heritage, fits the role perfectly. Music will play a major role in the story, and the popular composer duo Ajay-Atul will recreate classic Marathi tunes to bring the soul of Tamasha to life.
Just like Chhaava, which resonated strongly with Marathi audiences, this film also focuses on the spirit of Maharashtra. It celebrates the journey of a woman artist deeply rooted in tradition while making her story accessible to everyone on the big screen.
