Sikandar Fooling Audience

Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ is all set to hit the theatres on March 28th on the occasion of Eid.

The film features Salman Khan as Sanjay Rajkot, a man enjoying wide popular support on the ground who goes on to clash head-on with a corrupt minister.

With much about the movie still kept under wraps, speculations have started to run wild.

Many are calling it a remake of Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Sarkar’, especially after seeing the eerie similarities between Sikandar’s teaser and Vijay’s film.

Sarkar featured Vijay in a much similar role of an NRI taking on a corrupt politician. Being released in 2018, the film was also directed by A.R. Murugadoss, explaining the current frenzy among fans.

Although the makers have denied Sikandar being a remake, the public does not seem to be trusting their word.

This lack of trust is not unwarranted. Despite several claims of originality, Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Deva’ turned out to be an exact remake of the 2013 film ‘Mumbai Police’.

The same was the case with ‘Baby John’, which broke the promise made to the public, turning out to be a Hindi remake of ‘Theri’.

Sikandar’s originality, or the lack of it, can only be confirmed after the film makes its Silver screen release on March 28th, 2025.
