Vidya understands that speaking out about these incidents can be very intimidating. Even actresses in Hollywood who are now in good place and with good income keep quiet about such experiences. She herself had one such encounter when she was a child. When plucking some flowers under her building, a passerby pinched her inner thigh.
Luckily for her, her parents were open about this stuff and she ran inside and told her parents about this incident. Vidya feels very fortunate to be raised the way she was and that in her family, her voice was never stifled.
