Much Hyped Title Song: Flashy Visuals, Flat Impact

Son of Sardaar 2 Title Song

The teaser of Son of Sardaar 2 came and went with a whimper. It showed Ajay Devgn as Jassi, this time in the picturesque Scotland.

But despite the big canvas and glossy visuals, there was nothing exciting or new. It felt more like a safe return than a explosive one. So all eyes were on the title to see if it could finally create some buzz.

The title track is out and it’s dhol-driven, high-energy as expected from a Sardar film.

Sung by Romy and Sudhir Yaduvanshi, music by Harsh Upadhyay and lyrics by Shabbir Ahmed, Khara and Sukriti Bhardwaj, it checks all the boxes visually and sonically.

Shot in the colourful pinds of Punjab, the song has colourful costumes, patiala salwars, turban swag and Ajay’s trademark horse-riding entry.

The return of his hook step from the first film is a nice nostalgic touch for fans. It’s loud, punchy and made to get you dancing.

That’s where the reactions get mixed. The original Son of Sardaar title song by Himesh Reshammiya had instant recall value.

It was fun, catchy and a chartbuster that stayed for a while. This one is polished but less memorable. It doesn’t leave you humming the tune nor does it brings something new to the table.

Some fans are loving the energy and visuals. Others feel it’s just another song that looks big but doesn’t hit hard.

And since the teaser didn’t create any buzz, the song alone hasn’t been able to generate excitement.

A lot is riding on Son of Sardaar 2. The first film was based on Rajamouli’s Maryada Ramanna and was a decent hit.

Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 released earlier this year and crossed ₹160 crore without much hype. He still has box office pull.

If this film works and if the full album and trailer connects with the audience, there’s no reason why Son of Sardaar 2 can’t cross ₹200 crore.

But for now, the hype is building slowly. The song alone isn’t enough to move the needle. A big trailer or a viral track might still do the trick but that moment hasn’t come yet.

The title track of Son of Sardaar 2 is loud, colourful and has the original vibe. It brings in the Punjabi energy and gives fans something to enjoy.

But it’s not the game changer the film needed. It doesn’t take the buzz to the next level.

The film is presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films and hits theatres on 25th July 2025.

The base is there. The team is strong. Now it’s just waiting for one solid piece of content to catch fire. The song gets the party started but it’ll take more to keep it going.
