Dhurandhar is receiving mixed reviews on social media, yet it continues to perform strongly at the box office. While talk about propaganda in the film has existed for days, the discussion intensified after a well known writer commented on it.
Sudhish Kamath, one of the lead writers of The Family Man, shared his views after watching Dhurandhar. His comments suggested that the film carries clear propaganda elements.
Sudhish Kamath wrote that Aditya Dhar aims to divide the audience instead of uniting it. He said the film is designed to ragebait viewers. “Your job as a storyteller is to unite the tribe, not divide it. The attempts of division here appear in big bold text,” he posted.
In another tweet, he said Aditya Dhar made a Pakistani gangster relatable by comparing him to Akshaye Khanna and Rakesh Bedi. This remark sparked even more debate online.
Users reacted sharply to Sudhish Kamath’s comments. Many linked his views to what they called woke propaganda in The Family Man and criticised the show’s weaker recent season.
Some users openly blamed the writer. “I now understand why the third season of The Family Man had so much woke bullshit and weak story,” wrote one viewer. Another posted, “When you can’t match something, then you start hating that. In hate, people start barking just like mr Kamath.”
With Dhurandhar already dividing audiences, Sudhish Kamath’s criticism has only added more fuel to the fire. Many fans feel a renowned writer should not have made such comments and continue to troll him for his statements.
Is it propaganda? Or is it just satire? Can’t tell but Dhurandhar will entertain both sides one way or the other.
Aditya Dhar has a great career as the Bollywood publicist for the State but an even brighter future as an artist or storyteller once he learns people aren’t buying…— Sudhish Kamath (@SudhishKamath) December 8, 2025
