
Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s heartfelt biographical film 12th Fail won the hearts of Indian masses across all demographics. The film depicted the success story of an IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma who overcame his poverty and emerged as an honest officer. Vikrant Massey was praised highly for his lead role along with stars like Medha Shankar, Anant Joshi, Anshuman Pushkar. And now he is in the news for the contendership of a National Award for this very role.
The inspiring film had a thought provoking effect on fans. And it made them question the systematic flaws in our society and the competitive exam market. It presented hope but did not mislead anyone as it subtly showcased the difficulties faced by poor people who wish to compete in the UPSC race. In spite of all these struggles Manoj stays determined to pass the exams, he is often disheartened by his situations but never yields. Massey portrayed the character with such sincerity and dedication that we were bound to love his role.

Now with his name making much buzz for the scope of winning a National Award as the best actor, the fans are super excited. Massey too is preventing himself from jinxing anything. But he also has tremendous respect for other contenders like Vicky Kaushal’s performance in Sam Bahadur, Fahaad Faasil in Aavesham and Prithviraj in Goat Life. The competition is certainly difficult with so many great performances lined up to bag the award!
