War 2: YRF Revenge Mode; Pulls All Stops for Aug 14

War 2 movie screening at cinema

War 2 is generating a lot of excitement among viewers, and cinemas are gearing up to showcase the action thriller from 14 August. Yash Raj Films (YRF) is distributing the movie with a clear plan to fill cinemas in both North and South India, aiming for a blockbuster opening.

Sources reveal that YRF is following a massive distribution strategy. Single-screen cinemas have been instructed not to split shows and to dedicate all available slots to War 2 only. The same applies to two-screen and three-screen theatres.

Two-screen halls must run at least 12 shows daily, while three-screen cinemas are asked to screen the film 18 times a day. Cinemas with 4, 5, and 6 screens need to showcase War 2 a minimum of 21, 27, and 30 times, respectively.

Multiplexes with seven and eight screens are directed to run 36 and 42 shows daily. For larger cinemas with nine or ten screens, YRF expects 48 and 54 shows every day.

The distribution team emphasised that all theatres should operate at full occupancy with premium pricing for the film. Advance booking for War 2 has already started nationwide. It remains to be seen if it will win the box office clash against Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
