Akshay Kumar Ditches Real Forests in UP for Mumbai?

Welcome to the Jungle climax shoot in Mumbai

The makers of Welcome to the Jungle have taken an unusual approach for the film’s climax. Instead of shooting in real forests, they recreated dense jungle environments across multiple locations in Mumbai.

Director Ahmed Khan began filming the high-energy finale on December 5. Key portions were shot at Film City, Royal Palms, Borivali, and two locations in Aarey Colony.

Specially designed wilderness sets were created for these sequences. The work was carried out under the supervision of production designer Shailesh Mahadik. The sets were built to closely resemble real forest terrain.

Initially, the team planned to shoot the climax in the forests of Uttar Pradesh. However, the plan was later dropped due to practical issues. Weather and logistics became major concerns.

Cold conditions made filming difficult. Coordinating large-scale action scenes with a huge ensemble cast was also challenging. Managing a 500-member crew in a remote forest location added further complications.

Considering the scale of the stunts and the number of actors involved, the makers chose Mumbai. The city offered better control over schedules and smoother execution of complex scenes.

Welcome to the Jungle features a massive cast. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, Paresh Rawal, and Tusshar Kapoor, among others.

Bringing all actors together for the climax was one of the biggest challenges. Coordinating their dates required careful planning during this schedule.

Although most of the climax is being filmed in Mumbai, the team will later travel to North India. Wide jungle shots will be captured there to enhance authenticity.

Ahmed Khan described the shoot as demanding but enjoyable. He noted that once the cast comes together, the energy on set remains lively.

An introductory song featuring the entire ensemble will be shot in the second week of January. With this schedule completed, the film is expected to wrap up production in early 2026.
