Bollywood filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor took on Bollywood directors and reasoned why they have been failing to succeed with large-scale films like ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘2.0’. According to Shekhar Kapur, South directors show far more passion for filmmaking than Bollywood directors in Mumbai. There is no denying the fact that directors like Rajamouli and Shankar have a huge passion for Cinema and they try not to compromise and not release their films until they get a satisfactory output.

Moreover, stars like Prabhas who can dedicate 5 years to one film (two parts) laying belief solely on the director are very rare. Movies made on large scale need a lot of conviction and command from the filmmakers’ side. Even superstars work at the behest of star directors like Rajamouli and Shankar and don’t try to interfere with their work. In Bollywood, this trend is absent entirely as such a filmmaker who can command stars like Salman, Shahrukh and Aamir aren’t there, yet.
