Bollywood celebrities are usually hailed for being a promoter of a healthy lifestyle. They go through rigorous training for their roles and emphasise the importance of healthy food habits in their interviews. But unfortunately for some money they are ready to promote stuff that is not very healthy for the consumers. It starts with Kartik Aryan who endorses himself as a fitness freak but a burger outlet in the recent past named an entire junk food meal after him. Samantha, Alia Bhatt and Hrithik Roshan were also some of the celebrities he called out. They project that they do not consume sugar but have promoted sugary foods, soft drinks, ice-creams and chocolates.
He highlighted that these rigorous fitness and training routines, and extremely controlled dietary habits they promote are only possible for super privileged people. Middle class families cannot spare the kind of money to achieve such a regime amidst their day to day struggles. Nitin Maurya indeed raised a genuine concern. Celebs have a mass appeal and they can sway their fans to follow anything they wish to promote. Their endorsing harmful products like tobacco, alcohol, and junk food when they themselves wouldn’t touch such stuff for their fitness’ sake is absolutely deceiving.
