Oscars 2025

The Oscars is the most awaited award function for people who are into cinema. Dozens of the best movies produced all around the world in the year compete with each other in numerous categories. However, only a few people get to hold the famous Oscar statuette. For the Oscars 2025, the academy has proposed some changes in the rules of qualification for some categories of awards.

The biggest change among the new rules comes in the category of original score. Instead of 15, the next awards will have 20 entries in the shortlist. The number of statuette given by the academy for the award will also be increased to 3 from the earlier one.

The academy also made a decision about the drive-in theaters that can affect some films. The drive-ins will not be considered as a qualifying venue for theatrical releases. This was adopted as a venue in 2020 because of the covid restrictions.

The films must submit the Academy Representation and Inclusion Standards Entry(RAISE) form in order to compete for the top prize. For screenplay awards, it is mandatory to submit the final shooting script to be considered for original and adapted category.
