A new Spider-Man movie is always welcomed by fans, whether it’s live-action or animation. After the success of the two Spiderverse movies featuring Miles Morales as Spider-Man, it was natural that a live-action film be created with the beloved character.
Producer Amy Pascal had hinted that the movie is in development but there has not been any official statement from Sony Pictures.
Donald Glover, who was recently seen in Prime Video’s ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ web series had a long history with Spider-Man movies. He had started an online campaign to star in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ but Andrew Garfield beat him to it. Now, Glover is forty years old and too old to play a teenager fighting evil in NYC.
But, there is one role that he could play in the Miles Morales live-action. Prowler, once an adversary, later an ally to Spider-Man, could be Glover’s opportunity to star in another Spider-Man movie. He featured in Across the Spider-Verse for a split second as Prowler, so it may happen.
But, the biggest question remains when will Miles Morales’s live-action start production and get the green light from Sony?
