The epic sci fi film directed by Denis Villeneuve, “Dune Part 2” grossed another strong 4.4M on 2nd Wednesday 2024. Critics are saying that it is Timothee Chalamet’s most appreciated film. With just a -33.2% drop from last Wednesday, it has better grip than “Oppenheimer” itself which dropped -44.8% on 2nd Wednesday. “Dune 2” kicked movies like Batman vs Superman, and Logan out of the Top 10 list, just in two weeks and secured its position as number 7.
“Dune 2” definitely deserves all the credit it is getting, with a perfect blend of action and lore, this movie is a treat to audiences eyes.
The movie is on the edge of surpassing the final collection of “Dune part 1” which was $434.8M worldwide, but with the 3rd successfully run in the box office “Dune part 2” already earned $460M .
With a runtime of 2hr and 45 mins “Dune two” proved that if the story line is good enough the audience will gravitate towards the theatres. The critics are presuming that the official collection of Dune Two, which hit the US with 171.8 cume, might break the 2nd biggest post covid release John wick 4 with 200 cume by this sunday.
