By the end of this year or the beginning of next, Narnia is probably ready for the big screen, but Gerwig hasn’t yet named important department heads to oversee the creation of the fantastical world where witches fight, horses and dragons soar, and animals treat humans like equals. The project should be prepared for the big screen by then.

Greta Gerwig has said that she intends to create and direct a number of films based on C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia books, albeit she finds the idea unsettling. Although Gerwig acknowledges that she hasn’t fully embraced the concept, she believes it’s a good place to start. Even if working on Narnia is a “daunting” and thrilling project, she aspires to do “all different kinds of films” in the future.

During her podcast interview, Gerwig talked about the possibility of helming a James Bond movie, although she refrained from discussing it just yet. She stated that for the time being, they will only have some lions and dolls, but she truly likes [Producer of bond franchises] Barbara.
