Dumb Money, the biographical drama movie based on the GameStop Short Squeeze of 2021 and the events that led to it and its aftereffects is now available digitally. It is available to rent on Prime Video for only 99 INR.
It is directed by the Australian director Craig Gillipse, known for his movies like Cruella and I, Tonya. It was released on 15 September against a budget of 30 million USD. Even though it was a flop commercially, earning only 20 million USD, it received mostly positive reviews.
On Rotten Tomatoes, it has a rating of 84% after 224 reviews. Metacritic gave it a rating of 66/100.
The movie is based on the book ‘The Antisocial Network’ by Ben Mezrich and highlights how a bunch of reddit users caused such a heavy damage to the giants of Wall Street.
It led to financial losses for major hedge funds and short sellers.
