Warner Bros. Wowed the movie industry with how they revealed the fifth chapter of Matrix. Marking a departure from the past which is leaving behind, this new chapter will unfold when the Wachowski siblings Lana and Lily, the filmmakers of visionary ideals, are no longer on board. However, the superior screenwriter, Drew Goddard, otherwise known as the mind behind The Martian, will step up instead.
Goddard, who is an experienced director working on the science fiction genre, is not a new name for these fans. Following him winning an Oscar for creating the display of “The Martian” in which he also excelled drawing captivating plots within futuristic settings, a no less intriguing candidate for the Matrix gangstar.
In this respect, appointing Goddard fits in with Warner Bros.’ strategy to introduce brand new viewpoints into the beloved cyberpunk universe, but in a manner that both respects and follows in the memorable footsteps of the original creators. Lana Wachowsky is set to remain the showrunner and executive producer to make the story of the film series in the TV series be the Sam.
