The Hollywood strike affected a large number of projects by big studios pushing them years back. One such ambitious project is the Thunderbolts by Marvel. The strike has pushed the release of the title already by a year. The impact of this rescheduling has directly resulted in ouster of star Steven Yeun from the film. The famous actor will not be a part of the film because of scheduling issues.
Steven Yeun was never an official part of the star cast but speculations about his involvement in the movie grew in February. The studio had earlier announced that Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour and Wyatt Russell are going to star in the movie.
The movie was slated to be released in July 2024 but the strikes pushed it back to July 2025. The filming for the show hasn’t started yet. Thunderbolts will be an ensemble of Marvel anti-heroes and villains.
Steven Yeun leads as a voice star in the Invincibles. One of his most famous roles has been playing one of the leads on The Walking Dead. He also featured in the Netflix limited series Beef.
