Disney’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes added $40.6M from 52 international box offices in its Second week.
The offshore cume is now $136.3M and globally it earned $237.5M.
If we don’t count China then we can say that the movie faced a 35% downfall.
But in comparison with the other ape movies which are Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes, this movie is doing a far better job.
This Wes Ball-directed instalment is already the highest grossing film of the franchise in Bulgaria, Turkey and Colombia.
In European and Asian markets it stayed on top of the list as well.
From China it earned $20.4M, from France $13.8M, from Mexico $12M, from UK $10M and finally from Korea $5.8M.
The movie follows Durand’s character, who manipulates the well natured ape’s words and teachings, so that he can enslave apes to carry out his greater mission of unlocking a vault filled with human technology and intelligence.
With that being said, this movie is a entrainment packed one, which you should not miss on theaters.
