There may soon be Ryan Gosling too in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The star of La La Land has even conferred with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about the possibility of her playing a part in the MCU. No one knows yet what character Gosling will appear in, but fans have been speculating on various possibilities.
Some favorites of the fans include Nova, a cosmic hero who is rumored to be getting his own movie, and Mr. Fantastic, who leads the Fantastic Four. Later this year the Fantastic Four will join the MCU. Before, Gosling expressed interest in playing Ghost Rider, a fiery anti-hero whom Nicolas Cage has played in two films not in the MCU.
The MCU is still looking for its next big hit after the epic conclusion of Avengers: The end of an era for many of the original Avengers, the final installment, Endgame.
The franchise has been exploring new genres and characters, such as the spy thriller Black Widow, the martial arts epic Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and the cosmic comedy Thor: Love and Thunder. Gosling’s star power and acting could prove a welcome addition to the MCU’s growing pantheon of heroes and villains, which is both diverse and increasingly so.
