Not only a tennis prodigy in “Challengers”, it looks like Zendaya is also a Hollywood prodigy. With her back to back hits, she hugged the air of success.
Starting from her astounding role as MJ in Marvel’s Spider-man trilogy alongside Tom Holland, HBO’s “Euphoria” and Legendary’s “Dune Part Two” this is the time for her to flourish.
“This is a strong opening for a romance and sports drama,” said analyst David A. Gross.
Being a R rated movie, the Zendaya factor worked as a magic and as well as Luca’s creations such as “Call Me By Your Name” , “Bones and All” all of them had the touch of spice and thrill which other than Luca nobody else can bring.
The movie is based on three great tennis players, Art , Patrick and Tashi. Art and Patrick both are head over hells for Tashi. But, a life threatening incident made Tashi lose her position in the tournament, then she became the coach of Art, who will go against Patrick, the cherry on top is both of them are her former lover.
The movie is filled with twists and turns, and has already grossed $15 million domestically.
Zendaya trained for three months with Brad Gilbert, a great tennis player. She was so good with the sports that Luca said he almost didn’t use any , bodydouble for her scenes.
Gross also added,”This is the right material with the right director, featuring the right star at the right time.”
