The Kerala rights of the film had been reportedly sold for a whopping amount of Rs. 16 crores, as per the sources. When we look at the price for Baahubali in Kerala, it was sold for Rs. 11 crores. Back then, it was a record as we know the limited market of Telugu films in Kerala, just like in Kollywood and Bollywood.
Most of the Tamil films and Tamil stars have a huge market in Malayalam, as well. So, when a star like Vijay can command around Rs. 6 crores and plus, it’s no wonder that a sci-fi thriller starring Rajinikanth and coming with a huge hype surrounding it was sold for Rs. 16 crores. This is the buzz as of now and let’s wait and the official confirmation of the same.
