Has Baahubali added fire to the number 1 debate or has it completely put an end to it? We have reached a stage where we know that Baahubali is another landmark Industry Hit like Magadheera but the trade and fans are completely mum on the number 1 star.

Agreed director SS Rajamouli is the common element in the two films and one could make him the biggest South India brand for sure. But at the end of the day film industries are star driven and everyone always looks out for that star to be the face of industry. Be it Hollywood, Bollywood there is always a reigning numero uno despite having a director or two akin to status like Rajamouli. No one calls Rajkumar Hirani, the number star in Bollywood, right?
So as it happens, both Ram Charan and Prabhas are sailing in the same boat, they both have the Industry Hit’s but both are lacking the universal acceptance to be the number 1. And as things stand now with second part to yet to be done, Prabhas has to wait for another year and half to show his newfound strength and stake claim by showing something new.
For others, one is dumbfounded as to what could they do to be the one? Can some of the existing stars do something extraordinary in near future to reclaim the lost fizz?
