Tamil cinema is going through a kind of an odd phase as its big league superstars are drifting away from their crafts and placing personal ambitions over films.
Thalapathy Vijay is doing a film called GOAT and he’s sporting a clean shaved look for the same. This look doesn’t suit him one bit and it is leading to trolls on social media.
More shockingly for fans, Vijay is to enter politics soon and GOAT will be one of his last 2-3 films. So, him working with a volatile director like Venkat Prabhu and sporting possibly his career worst looks is leaving everyone stressed.
If at all he is stopping films and entering politics, the natural expectation is for him to do fan-pleasing films and not such experimental films like GOAT.
Then comes veteran superstar Ajith. He too has put his film career on the back burner and is currently going on bike trips across the country. His next film is with Adhik Ravichandran who is known for slapstick films. So there is anxiousness about this film as well and it adds to the fans’ commotion that Ajith is not taking films seriously anymore.
In the end, what is clear is that both Vijay and Ajith are scaring their fans with their recent choices.
