200 Cr For Balakrishna

From struggling to deliver even occasional hits at the box office, Nandamuri Balakrishna has come a long way now, as he is now the most consistent star amongst the senior league of Tollywood. He has made it four on the trot with Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth, and now Daaku Maharaaj.

While all these films worked very well at the box office, there was one major shortcoming. After relatively super strong starts, these films slowed down considerably after the first week.

The proposal in front of Balayya now is that he must make one winning film that will hold the momentum even after the first and second week in order to enter the coveted Rs 200 crore club.

Venkatesh Daggubati reached this club with his recent film Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam and the expectation now is that Balayya will have to attain the same with his upcoming film, Akhanda 2.

The first part was a pretty significant hit at the box office, and the most important thing is that it got rather long run at the box office. If the second part can emulate something similar, then it could very well enter the Rs 200 crore club.
