40 Couples arrested for being together in hotel rooms!

Malwani Police of Mumbai had raided various hotels in their vicinity. They have taken 40 couples in to custody for spending together in hotel rooms. They were insulted and college students among them were made to call their parents.

Interestingly, one couple engaged and going to be married very soon were also arrested and humiliated in public. They were later let off with a fine of Rs 1200. Couple of girls among the arrested even spoke of contemplating suicide.

There was criticism from all over regarding how Police can arrest couples who were together with mutual consent. Their actions do not amount to indecency as whatever they do was done in private between four walls.
