Lokesh Kanagaraj has not announced his next project yet, especially after the disappointing run of Leo and Coolie. He is currently busy acting in his debut film DC directed by Arun Matheshwaran.
Earlier, before the release of Coolie, both Lokesh Kanagaraj and Aamir Khan confirmed in several interviews that they were collaborating on a superhero film and that the project would begin soon. However, after Coolie released and Aamir Khan’s cameo was brutally trolled, reports claimed that the actor had moved away from the collaboration.
In a recent interview, Aamir Khan clarified that his film with Lokesh Kanagaraj is still happening. He said they were scheduled to meet soon, putting an end to the rumours. This boosted hopes that the superhero project may go on floors once Lokesh completes shooting for his acting debut.
However, this update has disappointed many in Kollywood. Since earlier reports suggested that the superhero film was dropped, fans expected Lokesh Kanagaraj to immediately start Kaithi 2. Now, they worry that Kaithi 2 may be postponed again.
For now, all eyes are on whether the Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj superhero film will materialise soon and how the project will eventually take shape.
