Akhil-Chay’s North America Struggle: A Serious Concern

Akkineni brothers North America box office

Akkineni Brothers, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, have a funny and very rare coincidence with their latest films’ North America box office performances.

Thandel underperformed and ended its U.S. run with around $822K. Similarly, Akhil Akkineni’s latest release Lenin is also heading towards a very similar finish, having already crossed $823K.

#Lenin may add another $1 to $2K if there are pending Indian theater reports, which usually happens. But both films closing around the $820K mark is a rare coincidence, especially considering they are the latest releases of the Akkineni brothers.

On a serious note, while Akhil showed some promise with #Lenin, the Akkineni family, including Nagarjuna, has been struggling to make a strong impact in the crucial North America market.

The U.S. market has become an important factor in determining a film’s overall success, and the Akkineni heroes have a lot of ground to cover to regain their stronghold.

A serious introspection is needed.
