Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga is also announced for Sankranthi. The makers are yet to lock a release date but the team is working day and night for the release to happen.
Naa Saami Ranga began only in the third week of September and the team toiled hard to ensure that it is complete in record time.
But then, intense competition in Sankranthi race, Nagarjuna’s recent form, a new director, and the production house’s track record combined took toll on the film’s business.
Moreover, the fall in non-theatrical business made things worse for the film.
Even though the producer is not convenient to release the film for Sankranthi due to all these factors combined, Nagarjuna is adamant because Sankranthi has been lucky for him and also he believes the movie is a festive watch.
He is assuring the producer to take care of everything to ensure a Sankranthi release.
He already offered to clear the film’s finance at the last minute and also ensured the remuneration is not a problem now.
Nagarjuna himself will release the film in Andhra through his Annapurna Studios’ distribution wing.
He also assured the producer that he would talk with Hotstar to complete the OTT deal with his Bigg Boss connections.
At the time of writing this story, the OTT deal is not signed yet. The Hindi deals are also not signed yet. If the OTT deal is sealed, the producer will breathe easy for a bit.
Since the makers are delaying the release date announcement, there are reports that they are still unsure about the release. But we hear that Nagarjuna is very serious about the Sankranthi release.
