Tollywood’s December release race is getting more interesting, with Nithiin’s Alias Rukmini joining the December 4 battle. Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma is already among the films lined up for the date, and the growing list of contenders could make the first weekend of December a busy one at the box office.
The interesting part is how quickly the release calendar is changing. Prabhas’ Fauzi, which was expected to arrive on December 3, has reportedly moved out of its original slot. But the space created by one film’s postponement may not remain open for long, as other projects look to capitalise on the December window.
For Nithiin, the release date could put Alias Rukmini in direct competition with some notable films. For Naga Chaitanya, Vrushakarma may have to share audience attention with a growing list of releases. The competition will also depend on the final number of films that retain their dates and the screens available to each.
December 4 could turn into a crowded box-office weekend, but the final picture will become clear only when the makers confirm their release plans. In Tollywood, securing a date is one thing; holding it amid growing competition is another.
