A few years ago, Dil Raju announced a movie in the combination of Allu Arjun and Venu Sriram (Vakeel Saab director) titled Icon. But Allu Arjun shifted to other projects like Pushpa, and the film never went to the sets.
According to the latest reports, Dil Raju has renewed the title Icon recently. It means Dil Raju still has the intention of making this film. Allu Arjun also keeps mentioning in some of his interviews that the film will happen at some point in time. He is also called ‘Icon Star’ by some of his fans.
But everyone knows that after the Pushpa rage on a national level, Allu Arjun would not work with a director like Venu Sriram. Last time he burnt his fingers when he committed a mistake by doing Naa Peru Surya. So he would never repeat such a mistake and from now on he would like to be associated only with star directors.
If at all ‘Icon’ gets made starring Allu Arjun, then Dil Raju would definitely bring a big director on board. But there is a belief in the industry that when a film that gets announced with a title doesn’t go on to the shooting sets, that title will be considered a jinx.
It will be interesting to see how, when, and with whom Dil Raju will make his pet project, Icon.
