Anupama Parameswaran’s 2025 has been full of highs and lows. The actress appeared in six films across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, delivering a mix of hits and flops that kept her fans talking all year.
She began the year with Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon, which turned out to be a massive blockbuster. Her performance received praise from both audiences and reviewers, setting a strong start for her year.
Next came Paradha, a female-centric drama that failed to impress and flopped badly. A few months later, she returned to Telugu cinema with the horror film Kishkindhapuri, which earned decent feedback but only managed an average box office run.
Her Malayalam outings, JSK: Janaki V v/s State of Kerala and The Pet Detective, released back-to-back. While JSK had strong pre-release buzz due to controversies, weak writing pulled it down. In contrast, The Pet Detective performed well and became a hit.
After that success, she teamed up with Dhruv Vikram for Bison in Tamil. The film opened modestly but gained momentum through strong word of mouth and is now heading toward a clean hit status in Tamil Nadu.
With three hits and three flops, 2025 has been a mixed bag for Anupama Parameswaran. Fans are now watching to see if her upcoming films will turn this balance in her favour and strengthen her standing in South Indian cinema.
