The teaser of Baaghi 4, released on August 11, 2025, has triggered a heated debate among fans of Tiger Shroff and Ranbir Kapoor. While some viewers have appreciated the attempt, many have criticised the action sequences and unrealistic fake blood effects.
Soon after its release, social media became a battleground for both fan bases. Several viewers accused the teaser of being a copy of films like Animal and Marco, with some even calling it the rejected concept of Sandeep Reddy Vanga for Animal.
Animal, starring Ranbir in the lead role, became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023. Ranbir’s fans now claim that although Baaghi 4 tries to recreate similar moments, Tiger cannot match Ranbir’s screen presence. In response, Tiger’s fans have defended him, alleging that Animal itself borrowed scenes from other films and that Tiger is being unfairly targeted due to his recent box office failures.
The teaser also features Sanjay Dutt holding a cleaver and attacking people, which closely resembles the post-credits scene of Animal where Aziz kills Vijay’s cousins. Baaghi 4 is expected to be Tiger Shroff’s first film to receive an A certificate, though CBFC cuts may tone down the violence to make it more family-friendly.
Despite the criticism, the teaser has generated hype, with hopes that Tiger will make a strong comeback when the film releases on September 5, 2025. However, Baaghi 4 faces stiff competition as it will clash with Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files, Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi, Teja Sajja’s Mirai, and Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati.
While the regional films may affect Baaghi 4’s collections in Tamil and Telugu markets, The Bengal Files could emerge as a strong competitor if it receives positive reviews. For now, audiences will have to wait until the release date for a clearer picture.
