Baahubali 2 holds the records for the biggest second-weekend box office collections in Hindi cinema for over six and three months.

However, trade analysts state that Pushpa 2 has now already surpassed earlier records, for which the second-weekend collections are estimated to come around Rs 115 to Rs 120 crore to surpass the numbers of blockbusters like Animal, Gadar 2, and Stree 2.

Pushpa 2 is the fastest Hindi film to enter the Rs 500 crore club, collecting Rs 508 crore in just 11 days. Earnings in the second weekend are more than that of Baahubali 2’s Rs 79 crore, and it sets a new record.

Trade observers feel that the success of Pushpa 2 lies in its mass appeal, and of course, in Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s guidance. It did around Rs 24.5 crore on Friday, Rs 42 crore on Saturday, and roughly Rs 50 crore on Sunday, which is a decent second weekend for the film.

With this mass appeal, Pushpa 2 may stay at the top for many years just like how Baahubali 2 held the position so long until Gadar 2 took over it. According to analysts, films like Jawan 2 or KGF 3 are going to break the record sooner.

Pushpa 2 has changed the definition of Indian cinema action movies totally. And though future productions will try to break this record, second weekend for this movie is a great success.
