Amaravati Boom: Bollywood Takes the Lead Over Tollywood

Amaravati attracts film studios

Andhra Pradesh quickly went from being a capital less state to a state with a consolidated capital in the form of Amaravati. This is due to the efforts of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, which is committed to develop a solid capital in Amaravati.

Now it is interesting to note that the Hindi film industry is more inclusive and interested in Amaravati project than the conventional Telugu film industry.

Interestingly, multiple Bollywood production agencies and film Studios have expressed interest in developing cinema infrastructure in Amaravati, while Tollywood is fairly silent about the same.

Apparently, several leading Bollywood film Studios have already approached the capital development authorities in Amaravati for land allocations to build film Studios. They are seeing Amaravati as the next big thing in India, and along with that government is also prepared to give certain amenities to facilitate them.

This has created a certain book for Amaravati and Bollywood is looking capitalise on the same. But the conventional Telugu film industry which must otherwise be in pole position to set shop here isn’t as committed.

A few people have remarked that Telugu producers have the time and efforts to approach Andhra Pradesh government for ticket prices and additional shows, but they have no such interest in developing the industry here.
