Certainly, there is a biopic in the making based on the life of badminton star Pullela Gopichand and Praveen Sattaru is readying the script which was slated to go on to the floors in the beginning of the next year. Sudheer Babu, who is also a badminton player will be essaying the lead role as Pullela Gopichand.

National media has been circulating a goof-up kinda rumour on Pullela Gopichand biopic saying that Prabhas is the top contender for the movie and Fox Star Studios is going to bankroll this project, probably after Prabhas completes his shooting for ‘Saaho’.
Bollywood reports also claim that Sudheer Babu happens to be one of the contenders besides Prabhas. But, it is Sudheer Babu’s project from the beginning here in Tollywood though it could be a bilingual. Praveen Sattaru had revealed several times that it was Sudheer Babu who was interested and came up with the idea of this biopic. Where did Prabhas come into this entire set up?
