Salaar is releasing in less than a week from now. The makers have taken the important Hindi market on a lighter note as there are no promotions planned there ahead of the release. But the mass genre of the film might pull a notable number.
As per the latest reports, Salaar is likely to open in the range of Rs 10-15 crores on its first day in the Hindi belt. The number is subject to change based on the advance bookings trend.
What’s for certain is that the film will not start on a sensational note like the way KGF 2 did in Hindi with over Rs 50 crores opening.
The low-key promotions could be the reason behind the ordinary opening numbers. Neel factor and Prabhas’s image is putting whatever opening there is in the Hindi belt.
More importantly, there is the clash with Dunki which is also releasing on the 22nd of this month, the same day as Salaar. This film is getting the lion’s share of multiplexes. In single screens, Salaar might hold a minute edge thanks to the mass genre.
With the clash with Dunki, Salaar will have to open to unanimous positive reports and mass reception if it is to wreak havoc at the Hindi box office if it is to have any chance of becoming a Rs 1000 crore grosser at the global box office.
