Box-Office Upset: ‘Flash’ Faces DC’s Worst BO Drop

Flash Movie Massive Drop CollectionsDC’s latest movie, ‘The Flash,’ set a record, but not in a positive way. Despite positive reviews and word of mouth, the film starring Ezra Miller had a significantly underwhelming performance in its opening weekend.

In its second weekend, ‘The Flash’ experienced a massive drop at the domestic box office, earning an estimated $15.3 million after a disappointing $55 million opening weekend.

Sadly, ‘The Flash’ suffered a brutal 73% decline in its second weekend, making it unlikely to recover. In comic book movie history, “Morbius” had a larger drop (73%) than any other film, and now “The Flash” is nearly equaling it.

DC has faced multiple disappointments at the box office this year, including ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods,’ which became the lowest-earning film in DCEU history when it was released earlier this year.
