Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty opened to slow occupancies at the box office, facing the massive wave of a mass-appeal film with a superstar in the lead, Jawan.
As expected, the take-off is quite sluggish, with Jawan dominating the small film with well-known leads.
The good news is that the movie received positive reviews and word-of-mouth, which is boosting its performance every hour. Saturday night shows in Hyderabad city clearly shows this, and advance bookings for tomorrow (Saturday) are also very good.
Meanwhile, Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty is performing well in the US, already crossing $400K, and we expect a first weekend total of over $700K.
While there are no doubts that the film did not choose the ideal release date, it’s a relief for the team that it’s gaining traction.
