Social media reactions to the Telugu trailer have been largely negative. Many criticized the dubbing for lacking intensity and impact.
The biggest complaint revolves around Vicky Kaushal’s powerful voice, especially his roaring dialogues in the climax. These lines gave goosebumps in Hindi but failed to create the same effect in Telugu.

The dubbing artists, known for voicing Hollywood and Hindi-dubbed content, couldn’t match the required emotional depth. Their voices sounded fake, forced, and emotionless. This made the film feel like just another routine dubbing release.
Adding to the controversy, earlier rumors suggested that Jr NTR had dubbed for the teaser. However, Bunny Vas dismissed these claims at the trailer launch.

Now, many feel that Chhaava needed a popular actor to dub for Vicky Kaushal. Shreyas Talpade gave voice to Allu Arjun in Pushpa, and Sharad Kelkar dubbed for Prabhas in Baahubali. A similar approach could have helped Chhaava retain its impact.
