Last night, he attended the pre-release event of Brahmanandam movie as a chief guest. As usual, he delivered a lengthy speech, but some of his statements have now sparked controversy.

Many feel that Megastar, who is supposed to be an inspiration, made remarks that were inappropriate.
Firstly, he commented that he has been asking Ram Charan for a grandson to continue his legacy. He joked that his home is filled with women and at times feels like a women’s hostel. This statement did not sit well with many.

It appeared as if Chiranjeevi was openly expressing a preference for a boy over a girl, which did not go well with many.
In today’s society, even common people are being encouraged to change their mindset about gender preference. When a celebrity makes such remarks, it naturally invites criticism and trolling. Chiranjeevi is now facing severe backlash on social media for this.

And, he had a tongue slip and used an unparliamentary word while sharing fun stories about Brahmanandam. This brief video clip is also going viral.
Another statement that is being widely circulated is his anecdote about his grandfather. When anchor Suma asked him to briefly comment on his grandfather by displaying his picture on the screen, Chiranjeevi went on at length.
He stated that his grandfather was a “rasikudu” (womanizer), had two wives at home, and was having an affair with a third woman. He even joked that his grandfather might have had more affairs. Though he said it in a light-hearted manner, the video clip has gone viral and is being used for trolling.
Mega fans have often go after Balakrishna for making such fun statements. Now, Chiranjeevi’s remarks are providing similar fodder, leading to backlash. Fans of Balakrishna are now sharing these videos and questioning why the same rules do not apply to Chiranjeevi. If Balakrishna is attacked and trolled for such comments, shouldn’t Chiranjeevi face the same scrutiny, they are asking?
