It looks like Deepika Padukone is being chased after for Tollywood films. Having caught the attentions of South filmmakers with the blockbuster film Chennai Express as well as her team up with Rajinikanth in Kochadaiiyaan, the actress has certainly become popular. It was therefore hardly a surprise when the filmmakers of Gabbar Singh 2 wanted the actress to work in their film opposite Pawan Kalyan but unfortunately, things did not work out.
A source explained that even though Deepika was impressed with the script and keen to work alongside Kalyan, and was filnally ready to spend a week every month for the shoot, the filmmakers were wary and did not wish to take any risks. Presently, the task of finding the female lead has been given to a Mumbai-based casting agency and the project will begin as soon as this is taken care of.
