
NTR’s Devara is nearly done with its theatrical run and all possible opinions and derivates on the film are out now. At this point, director Koratala Siva has himted about the sequel.
Coming to the actual prospects of the sequel, Devara, despite having a Bahubali-type ending, it doesn’t quite have the adequate shock value as the Rajamouli directorial. The ending didn’t necessarily trigger debates on what would be the premise of the second part.

There are certain unanswered questions pertaining to the characters like Yathi and the skeletons underwater. But these are mostly fade away questions and not “Why Kattappa killed Baahubali” range questions.
For Koratala, his immediate next bet could be Devara 2, considering that all other superstars are occupied already.

But for NTR, he has War 2 and the film with Neel. His market compositions could change drastically based on the result of these two films. So, whether or not he would be as interested in Devara sequel after 2 years is a question for the future.
Most importantly, for fans, Devara is a first solo film after 6 years so they were eagerly awaiting the same. They could at least be majorly satisfied by the film if not entirely. At the same time, their thirst isn’t fully quenched either. It is at a point where they will watch the sequel if it comes but will certainly not demand NTR for a sequel.

Devara posted decent numbers globally and turned out to be an alright product, mostly driven by NTR. So while there is indeed scope for sequel, there isn’t compulsion like seen in the case of KGF, Baahubali, or to a certain extent Pushpa 2.
